Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for interior design projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant expenses.
- Work closely with the project team to establish realistic budgets that align with client expectations.
- Conduct regular cost reviews and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the procurement process by preparing tender documents and specifications.
- Evaluate bids from contractors and suppliers, analyzing costs and benefits.
- Make recommendations to the client regarding contractor and supplier selection.
- Prepare and administer contracts between the organization and contractors.
- Ensure contract terms are fair, reasonable, and in compliance with industry standards.
- Manage variations, claims, and contractual disputes that may arise during projects.
- Monitor project progress and track costs against the budget.
- Monitor project costs, identify cost overruns or savings opportunities and implement cost control measures.
- Collaborate with the project team to suggest value engineering techniques that achieve desired quality at reduced costs.
- Provide cost advice during project feasibility studies and decision-making processes.
- Measure and value work completed by contractors at different project stages.
- Ensure contractor invoices align with actual work performed, following standardized measurement practices.
- Assess progress payments, variations, and final accounts accurately.
- Identify and assess potential risks that may impact project costs and schedules.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies, including contingency plans and insurance coverage.
- Provide cost advice on project feasibility studies and risk analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the interior design or construction industry.
- Available in UAE to attend direct interview
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, and cost control techniques.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for quantity surveying and cost management.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with stakeholders at various levels.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a project team.
- Familiarity with local building regulations, codes, and industry standards.
- Professional certifications or memberships in relevant organizations are preferred
